Some sort of small black bugs have infested our okra plants. They congregate on buds, blooms and the underside of leaves. These are destructive little things, as you can see by the leaf (or what's left of it) pictured below. I gave them a good blast with the water hose this morning and, after quite a bit of effort, washed most of them away. If they come back I'll have to take more drastic measures.

Man, do you have a giant neon sign inviting bugs to your yard? You seem to have had some seriously bad luck with pests this year.
Yikes, wow. I am so sorry about these bugs. Grrr!!!
If you find out what they are let us know. I don't think I've ever heard of them.
That was exactly what happended to my sunflowers. It looks like you are trying the natural method. I got the cheap bug spray from Kmart and it took care of the problem.
